That is really the best word I've come up with to describe my day. From start to finish, the entire interview process today (and I was there for over 4 hours) was, well...AWKWARD! It's getting late and I am emotionally and physically exhausted, so this will be short. Here are a few highlights that may give you a glimpse into the awkwardness that was my day...
*I spent at least 30 minutes of my day sitting in a small waiting area...right next to my competition...AWKWARD???
*I am a current employee of the agency, yet I felt like a total outsider...AWKWARD???
*While sitting in said waiting room with my competition, the parties who were interviewing us were discussing our interviews in a room, um, right next to the waiting area, which meant we were able to hear much of what they were saying about us...AWKWARD???
*In one of the three interviews I was not asked one question. Instead, I was told to ask the questions...AWKWARD???
*Not only was I not asked if I wanted to order lunch with my colleagues, or given a break to go find my own lunch, but my second interview consisted of me sitting across from two colleagues while they ate their lunch in front of me...AWKWARD???
There were other scenarios, but I think you get the picture. It was an uncomfortable experience in many ways. All in all, I felt confident in regards to my actual interviews. I just left with a lot of questions and wondering what they are truly looking for. I was not given an answer to when I would get word. Once that happens, I'm sure this blog will be one of the first "people" to know! Thanks for your prayers today. I felt a calm peace despite the total awkwardness!

I had an interview once, that they asked a lot of personal, illegal questions - like when I was going to have kids, if I would continue working, and then they ended it with, "Just so you know, the most qualified person may not get the job, but may just be who we have to go with at this time." I left there thinking - so do I want this job? Because that means, I'm not qualified??? Weird! Anyways, anxious to hear! love ya!
