I have taken a lot of slack in my house in regards to the blogging world. It took Michael a long time to truly understand what it means to have a blog, and even longer to appreciate the importance it holds for me. The blogging world is quite unique...you share stories you normally may not share with others, you connect with people miles away, you meet "strangers" who become friends, you open your life to people in a way our society does not always encourage. It truly is it's own unique culture.
I started this blog while we were living in NY in hopes of staying connected to old friends from college and those who had moved far away. Little did I know that it would become one of my greatest outlets. I have always kept journals...something innate in me that was without a doubt one of the few things that saved me from losing my mind many times throughout the course of my life. I keep spiritual journals, life journals, journals for each of my children, I gave Mike a journal on the night before we were married that I had kept for my future husband...you get the point. I love to write and it helps me heal the past and be excited about my future. My blog has become not only a means for me to share our journey with family and friends we don't see often, but mostly it has become a form of a public journal. It never ceases to amaze me how much we can learn when we look back and have tangible proof that God was walking with us every step of the way. To see where He walked quietly in hopes of me searching for Him, times when He carried me realizing I would never make it through on my own, and the times he was walking right next to me holding my hand and embracing the journey with me.
I've been noticing lots of different activity here lately. States and places I'm not aware of coming to visit...I welcome that! If you are a blogger, too, please leave a comment so I can visit your journey as well. Sometimes chance encounters are actually part of bigger picture!
To those who have been reading along with my journey for a while, thank you for your support and encouragement! I'm blessed to have so many amazing people in my life...near and far! I have a deep sense of anticipation that our family is approaching some very exciting days ahead. I can't tell you what it is...I have yet to find out myself! You'll have to check back to see if I'm right.
