Memory of a HAWK!!

I'm really not sure if hawks have great memories, but the statement has lasted this long so there must be some validity in it, right?Paige certainly takes the prize in our family for any memory game!! This kid amazes me. Yesterday we had movies that needed to be returned to the movie store. I had mentioned it on Sunday. At least 4 times throughout the day yesterday, Paige would say, "Mommy, don't forget we have to take those movies back today." I would have forgotten without her great memory!

Sometimes it's a little more shocking what she can remember. Last year Paige took a gymnastics class. She enjoyed it, but made it clear that when she was 4 she wanted to take dance instead. We told her she could do that in the fall. Well...fall came around and we were adjusting to our new world and getting things settled. Once preschool started, she asked when dance would start. I remember telling her at one point that once daddy had a job and we had money, we would look into dance classes. Mind you...this was in September or October.

Friday night we were having bedtime routine. I had her tucked in and saying final goodnights when I reminded her that the next day was Saturday and she didn't have school (I have to remind her because she loves going so much that without a warning, Saturday mornings are met with tears that she can't go to school). She asked if Daddy would be home (his new schedule has been hard for her...she misses him a lot!). After explaining that he would work for a few hours she was sad. Almost instantly she looked up at me with those precious blue eyes and said, "but now I can go to dance class because Daddy is working to make money." Needless to say, I just made a phone call to a local dance studio! We can't get anything passed this little one!

We are enjoying a slight increase in temperature! Shouldn't be long and it will feel like Spring!
