A Ray of HOPE!!!

We visited our 8th church today since arriving here in July. Although there have been great things about each of the churches, we have not been totally sold on any of them. We attended a community church today that we both really enjoyed!!! The people were very friendly and welcoming, the pastor was down to earth and funny, they had programs for the kids, it is within a 10 minute drive of our house...We are encouraged!!! We will go again and see what we think, but it is nice to have some hope in the church arena, and to actually be excited about a prospect!! Paige has chosen to sit with us in church the last few places we have been rather than go to the children's program. Who can blame her...we have been to a lot of new churches. During the sermon today she looked up and said, "I want to go home with him," pointing to the pastor. We asked why and she said, "he is really funny!" I guess we are pretty boring people! After playing on the playground following church, she asked if we could go there again next time. Another reason to have hope!!!
Now that the weather has turned and is more mild (70's to 80 every day), we are able to go out and enjoy it! This is the "Maiden Voyage" for the Barbie Jeep in SC...no trees in this front yard to drive into!

Yay! Churches aren't the same down here. I miss northern churches. We have one we like...went to it today, but it's just not the same. And yay for a safe jeep trip.
