A morning of near PERFECTION!

Today was one of those days (which I am having often) when I was overwhelmed with the realization that I am a stay-at-home-mom!!! We aren't sure how long it will last, but while it is a reality, I am LOVING every minute of it!! This morning was only nearly perfect because Paige was at school and not with us, but Nathan and Mama had so much fun!!!

I recently joined a local Mommy's group in hopes of meeting new people and making some friends. Today's meetup was at Barnes & Noble for storytime. Although no other mom's from the group showed up, we had a great time!!! We read tons of new books, listened to a story, drew a picture, played with Thomas trains and laughed a lot!! Not to mention that I was able to indulge in a "Pumpkin Spice Latte!!!" This little man really enjoys books!! He was drawn to truck books, Elmo books and Thomas books...go figure!!! We had time to waist, so we went to the playground just outside B&N. I always miss Paige when she is at school, but today I was so content to spend time with Nathan. I realize how much I missed while I was working and I am truly appreciating every little thing! Today I was in awe of how quickly he has figured out how to get around a playground. He goes on the slide all by himself and even tries to climb the wall! Maybe I will be working next year, or next month...maybe next week. But TODAY...I am home with these kids and I LOVE it!!!!
For Tracy, Kara and Emily...please don't take offense!! I will always realize how totally blessed I was to have such amazing friends (AND SISTER) who were willing and able to care for and love my kids while I was working. I will forever be grateful to you all!! Not just for truly loving them as you would your own, but for the total peace and comfort you gave me at such a difficult time!!! Wish you were all here so I could enjoy my "Mommy Days" with you!!!
Get ready for pictures from a morning with Paige...I am going on a FIELD TRIP with her class to the Pumpkin Patch on Friday!!! Will I ever feel she is old enough for these new adventures??

I hear ya! I thank God for the blessing all the time too! It's a hard financially most times, but so often I think, I would have just missed that!!
