PUMPKINS A PLENTY!!!

Today was the day!!! The mind of a 4 year old looks forward to so many things, but this may have been the most anticipated event of recent months! Paige had her outfit, down to socks and underwear, picked out for days!!! She even requested that we get ORANGE nail polish so her nails would match the pumpkin on her shirt...which I of course did! She couldn't wait to go to the Pumpkin Patch!!! Thankfully, she doesn't really remember our trips to actual pumpkin patches up north. Today's "patch" was not quite like the ones I think of with apple orchards in the distance, fresh cider, the smell of just baked doughnuts and a cool breeze. Nothing like that, but they sure did have pumpkins, and that was all that mattered to Paige! This is her preschool class!!! 16 students and 3 teachers (someone is missing). They all had a great time running around, listening to a pumpkin story and choosing just the right pumpkin to take home. After snack, a few of them hunted for walnuts. This is Paige with her new friend, Natalie! These two have hit if off well and spend most of their free time together at school. Natalie often comes to school with a new project to give Paige. We're working on a playdate outside of school!
We both had a GREAT morning! I was so thankful to be able to simply be there with her today. It was fun to watch her interact with her peers and respond to adult authority. She certainly shows a different side at school than we see at home. The chatterbox we know is very quiet in a group setting. We came home with a pumpkin for each of us!
