My Boy...THE CHAMP!

Although I can't say he is "healthy," my boy fought hard and is the CHAMP at our house today!! We saw the doctor and we were all impressed with his improvement over night. He still has some wheezing and a cough, but no more fever and very much more active today! We will go back in two weeks to be sure the wheezing is gone and lungs are clear. We will continue the steroids for 2 more full days and the breathing treatments for at least the next 4 days. We'll see how he is feeling by that point.
What a trooper this kid is! He has to sit for these treatments (at least 10 minutes, but hopefully 15), and he is not a sit still kind of kid...he's a BOY!! Paige and I went to the library while he napped today and rented a few new shows for him to watch during treatments...Thomas, Bob the Builder (shows we don't own quite yet...most of our revolve around princesses or ponies). He sits perfectly still and takes the treatments until I turn off the machine. Then he looks up at me says, "a-done!" and he is off and running!
Cute story of the day...the doctor came in to the room today and was talking with me about the night. I had Nate on my lap facing the doctor. The doctor pulled out his stethoscope and looked at Nathan. Before the doc got three words out, Nathan pulled up his own shirt to let the doctor hear his lungs...what a smart kid!!!
Today, I am thankful for...
*proactive doctors who don't say, "let's see how he feels tomorrow," but listens when Mama says "something just isn't right!"
*INSURANCE!!!!
*FAMILY...thanks for the childcare and support this week!

I am so glad to hear Nathan is getting better! Not being able to breathe is scary. Lots of hugs!
