A little too obvious

What a week it has been! Have you ever had situations where you look around at life and totally know that Satan is trying to take over? You know, the times when so much happens all at once that it becomes so obvious it is Satan and although you are worn out and broken, you feel like laughing in his face and telling him to create some new tactics. Satan isn't usually someone I laugh about, but he either thinks I'm much weaker than I really am or just a lot more stupid because I am not falling for his game! Above all this past week I am clinging to the reality that God is in control and He knows what is best for us.
The initial offer on the house fell through. It was a couple in their 50's who have never owned a house. Apparently when the reality hit, they were too scared to follow through. Bummer for them because I know they will one day regret not taking the risk. The second offer we looked at last week has remained interested and appears to be going smoothly. He will have his inspection tomorrow. So we are "pending" again and hoping tomorrow goes well.
We have been loving the weather lately and getting as much time outside as we can. Nate has found his new love and literally throws himself on the ground screaming when we re-enter the house. I think if we put a tent out there he would never come back inside. Last summer at the end of the season our wonderful neighbors gave us a Barbie Jeep. You know those ones that kids actually drive around. When I saw them a few years ago I swore my kids would never drive or own one. Well, I should have learned a long time ago not to say never. The Barbie Jeep has become a favorite. Last year Paige refused to push the pedal to make it go. It is loud and she was too scared. This year is a different story. She loves it!! Boppa and Bammy got her a new helmet and she refuses to go near the Jeep without it. Really what she loves is the radio. No joke!! The thing has a radio..."B.A.R.B.Radio," to be exact. She will sit in it with her helmet on rocking to the music. That's all she needs! Nathan has enjoyed a few rides, too.

I love this face. This is what she does when she is so happy and excited, but trying to hide it!!

A few things make me laugh out loud when I look at this picture...
1- Paige and I always insist on her wearing a helmet when she rides, but my 14 month old just gets plopped in and we hope for the best! What a great mom, huh?
2-Their faces seem switched to me! Paige is the hesitant one who would rather sit quietly and move slowly while Nate never stops and loves to jump, climb, explore...He looks scared and she loves it! It proves that we are all unpredictable sometimes.
3-THAT HAIR!!!! I keep begging to take him to a barber. I'm too nervous to do it myself, but seriously...something must be done!
4-Michael arrived home from work about 1 minute before this picture was taken. He and I were soon in a detailed conversation. About 45 seconds after I took this picture I heard the engine making a strange noise and my daughter was screaming. Apparently we had gotten caught up in our conversation. We turned to see that Paige had driven the Jeep right into our ginormous pine tree. LITERALLY drove right into it. I thought for sure someone would lose an eye from the branches or something. Once we calmed them down and removed the Jeep from the tree we laughed so hard!!!! She brings it up every time she gets on the Jeep now.
