Celebrating Easter

Easter is one of my very favorite Holidays. It is possibly the most important Holiday in regards to my faith, which easily makes it special. On top of that, it is a Holiday with a lot of family memories connected to it. This was the one time every year we would pile in the car and drive to my grandparents in Pennsylvania. Car trips are GREAT for making memories, not to mention the candy, church services, new dresses and family meals.
Yesterday was a unique day for us. Sadly, Sunday mornings are typically quite hectic at our home. We all like to sleep, so getting everyone up and ready for church at 8:30 makes for a large task. We are always crunched by the clock telling us when church starts, when we need to be in our room to teach Sunday School, when our own kids need to eat and nap, etc. Yesterday was different. No Sunday School! We took our time making memories in the morning at home and went to late service. There is something about singing those old hymns on Easter morning and hearing the choir sing! And lately, Paige has wanted to sit with us during the service instead of playing with her friends in her classroom. She soaked up the flowers, music, reenactments...and she tolerated the sermon quite well, too! After nap time we had Easter dinner with my folks. A wonderfully relaxing and worshipful day! I have a few pictures from my dad's camera at their house later in the day. Our digital camera is officially "JUNK!" So I will have more pictures of our morning when the film is returned!

My adorable kiddos!!!

Paige LOVED her Easter dress and wants to wear it every day

Does this child have ANY of my genetics?

This may be the first family photo since Nate was born!!

Now I am fighting what I hope to be a horrible cold. I'm miserable! I have been dying for Spring for weeks, now I am BEGGING for it to come! It is snowing again today and not warmer than 30. Ugh!
