Random updates

There has been so much activity in our home lately and no time to update people. Here are a few of the latest updates of importance...
JOB RELATED: I have finally hired a new pregnancy counselor. I am very excited at the opportunity for her to join our team, and hopeful it is as perfect a match as I envision. She will officially start July 6. Hopefully we'll get a full month of training in prior to my maternity leave. It was a long process, but we saw God's hand at work through it all and are thankful she accepted the position.
HOUSE RELATED: We must be out of this rental on June 30. Mike has been constantly working on the new house to get it ready, while packing up the rental house. He has had some great helpers.
We have hired a painter to take care of the first floor. There are some high ceilings that we didn't want to mess with. We had a wonderful lady from church come over and help us select colors. What a blessing she has been to us. She gets a discount on paint, so we ordered 18 gallons of paint this week. WOW! I have been so eager to paint walls and finally live in a house with color. The white walls of this rental have gotten old. We ordered carpet this week and will have that installed next week. Our plan is to move all the furniture and big things on Saturday the 26th. The kids LOVE going to the new house...even though there is nothing there. They entertain one another quite well and have found lots of new ways to use their imaginations.
BABY RELATED: The doctor stood firm in her diagnosis of Gestational Diabetes. I still don't think I have it, but she insists that the weight of my previous children at birth tells me I have always had it during pregnancy and just never had a doctor diagnose it. So, I am testing my blood/sugar levels 4 times a day and following a special diet.

This picture is a few weeks old. I am 32 weeks today!! They have said they will induce me at 39 weeks, but I am not holding my breath. I have not been impressed with this practice and would love to switch doctors, but they are the ONLY practice that delivers at the hospital we want to go to. The doctor attempted to determine the position of the baby manually and believes she has flipped, but we won't know for sure until our next ultrasound at 36 weeks. It's hard to believe I could be holding this little person in less than 8 weeks! I can't wait! The biggest news is...WE HAVE CHOSEN A NAME...that is, assuming their guess of a girl is correct. It was a name we liked early on, then moved on to others and finally realized how much we love it! We will keep it a secret unti she arrives, but it is so nice to have a name for her that we are excited about!
My hope is that once my new staffer starts, I will have more time, energy and motivation to post here. I miss writing, but have been so busy and tired I just can't get on here often enough.
