The past week has been such a refreshing reminder that Spring is here, and with it, new opportunities and adventures to welcome it! After a stressful week of working over 50 hours and beginning to adjust to another entirely new world, yesterday was exactly what I needed to unwind and remember how good life is.
We enjoyed donuts on the beach...
We built sandcastles...
We savored coffee...
We made sand angels...
We solved some problems of the world...
More than anything, we embraced a morning together taking in one of God's greatest creations. It made the past week of insanity seem like a decade ago. The kids could have stayed there all day. Nathan created his own game of making "stones" and throwing them into the waves. I could sit all day and watch their imaginations at work...and he could have thrown "stones" for 3 more hours!

After a couple of hours we realized it was much sunnier and warmer than we had planned on. Forgetting to lather them with sunscreen, we decided it was time to head home (a downfall of living in the South with pasty kids). As we were packing to leave, I was struck with reality...soon we will be visiting the ocean with THREE little ones! My "baby" will soon be the big brother and my girl will soon be playing "little mommy" again. The excitement overwhelms me sometimes. Be looking tomorrow for an update here as we are hoping this little critter will cooperate to reveal it's gender!
When we heard the forecast was calling for warmth and sunshine, we immediately packed the car for the beach! It had been far too long since we spent a morning there, and the return was much sweeter this time.
