many different styles

****SCROLL TO THE BOTTOM AND PAUSE THE MUSIC BEFORE WATCHING THE VIDEO!!****
When I began my college career I was an Elementary Education major. It made sense to me...my parents were both teachers, my sister was a teacher...I just assumed it was in my blood! It took one semester for me to realize my blood was far different than the rest of my family. I was reminded of this yesterday as I was attempting to help Paige write all her classmates names on her Valentines Day cards. Although I was not a teacher, I worked in a school for six years so I am well aware that each student learns differently...has their own style. Well, my teaching style is not conducive with Paige's learning style. Something I will be working on. We were finally able to come to an agreement on how to work it out. I'm glad she's only in preschool!

Tonight, Paige displayed her own teaching style. If her main objective had anything to do with joy or laughter...she gets a 10! Watch this clip...

After all was said and done, I think her style was effective for Nate. 10 minutes after this, he brought a book to me and repeated her method word for word. Maybe she has the blood I always wished for 14 years ago!

That is soooo funny. I am LOL. So precious.

I hear ya on the difference in teaching/learning styles. Kaitlyn would not do well if I tried to homeschool her. Last year I was trying to teach her something and she kept disagreeing with me. She asked me "how do you know that?" I told her I taught 2nd. grade for a long time and she then proceeded to tell me that I had been home for a long time! Now, if her teacher had told her the exact same thing, then she would have believed her!!

I love that first picture too.
