Forcing Optimism

These past few weeks have made it pretty easy to slip into negative thoughts and attitudes, but we are forcing ourselves to be optimistic around here!! Thankfully, our faith helps the optimistic parts of life to take over when we aren't really sure how. I am reading "Wild Goose Chase" right now (THANK YOU, AMANDA!!!) and it is really helping me to keep perspective and continue to seek God's purposes for my life...not what my human nature may want to tell me. Easier some days than others, but we are trying!
One downfall for me this year has been that Paige is in preschool every morning. Normally, the mornings would be our "outing" time since Nathan naps in the afternoon. When Mike was working, it left us with rare occurrences to go anywhere just the two of us. With Mike out of work he was home today, so the girls went "ramming!!" After some time at the bookstore, we went to the playground.
Then tonight we all went to "Open House" at Paige's school. It was so fun to walk around with her and see all the exciting things she does each day. She was so proud to show us her music class, computer class, PE class and all the fun projects hanging on the walls of her classroom. Her school is certainly a positive for us! A lot of things are uncertain right now, but a few things we ARE sure of...our Faith and our Family!!! And today was one of those days when the laughter and love overshadowed any fear we may have of the unknown! Who can be negative when you see this face every day???

okay, so that really is crazy. we both had the same kind of day and then you had to go make me cry and all with your comment. you rock...and i do miss you. and i love that day in admissions too. doesn't it seem like forever-and-a-half ago??! and when we were there, we thought we'd be there forever. what ever happened to the meg ryan cat, by the way?
