Playing "Catch Up!"

Let me answer a few commonly asked questions before I get to the actual post for the day...
#1...We survived "Hanna!" In reality, we got nothing more than a really bad rain/wind storm. Praying for everyone in Texas!!!
#2...Paige will complete her first FULL week of preschool tomorrow and is LOVING it! For as concerned as I was about her being gone every morning, she seems to be thriving in her new world.
#3...Nathan seems to have made a full recovery and is back to the ALL BOY BUBBA that we love!
#4...Mike has quit the night job and is now home every night at 5 and awake for family time...ALL are happy with this change!
#5...We are still looking for a church. Major bummer, so please keep praying!

This was Paige on Tuesday morning as we were heading out the door to school...At first glance, you are probably thinking, "Oh, poor little girl! Her Mama is forcing her to go to school and she wants to stay home." But what you may not think about is that she remains our "DRAMA QUEEN." And what you probably don't notice in this picture is this...

THREE of the FIVE band-aids that were attached to her left leg. Those of you who have been reading (or stalking) my blog since the inception will have a flashback to my band-aid blog when I talked about her total obsession with band-aids...fancy ones! Well, she is still obsessed, but on this day, she was deserving! Mosquitoes LOVE Paige...but Paige's skin DETESTS mosquitoes. The poor girl swells like a balloon with one bite. On the playground Monday, her left leg was attacked, warranting the plethora of band-aids. Normally, I put a "quota" on band-aids, but on this morning, the embarrassment of walking in the door at preschool with a fully band-aided little girl was much more appealing then the never-ending dramatic episode that would have ensued had I said "No!" after one band-aid. That makes one lesson learned from my mom..."Choose your battles!" The funniest part...she really thinks the band-aids help stop the itching. Mind over matter, I guess!

I leave you tonight with a few of my favorite pictures of the week. There would be more, but I still have not learned that I need to have my camera with me at ALL times, thus missing out on many good photo opportunities. Here, you will see Paige and her cousin, Emma, playing in the rain...and puddles! With all the storms, there is lots of rain to play in and they are making the most of it!!Emma is finding bugs and collecting them...LOTS of them. Ugh! Paige was happy to point them out to her, but wanted nothing to do with actually touching them...what can I say? She's my daughter.

Soaking wet and ready for a warm bath and dry clothes!! (psst...do you see the NEW band-aids? Ha!!!)
