A night at the ocean

With the disappointments of the last week and simply wondering what we are doing and where we are headed, we need to refocus. When we moved here we went to the ocean almost every day. Everyone told us that wouldn't last and that once we were used to living here, we would never go. We vowed that would not happen to us! Sadly, it started to. With Mike's schedule the previous month and now Paige in school each morning, it has been a long time since the four of us dropped everything and went to the ocean. But, tonight we did it! We all needed it!!

It seems like it time we go, the kids react differently. Tonight, Nate was not thrilled with the sand. Actually, when Mike put him down he didn't move! He refused to take a step. It was quite funny to watch...this being our no fear, daredevil boy!!!

Paige, on the other hand, took off running and before we knew it was digging in the sand and trying to cover her entire body! She cried when we said it was time to leave.

I've probably said it before, but there is truly something about the ocean air that soothes your spirit and simply refreshes you. We were all a little more pleasant and upbeat after our much needed visit...and Nate took 3 steps in the sand!
