"I want a BIG, FAT pig to eat..."

"Yummy, yummy, yummy, yummy...um, hm, good!" These are the lyrics that have been sung in every nook of our home for the past month. Paige's preschool class performed their "3 Piggies Opera" tonight! It was literally the story of "The 3 Little Pigs" put to music. I had heard former parents talk about how cute it was (tonight being the 3rd annual), but until you sit and watch it doesn't mean much.
During music class since the early part of the year these 4 and 5 year olds have been practicing this opera and it was A-D-O-R-A-B-L-E!!!!! The entire story was sung and acted out. This is Paige's "thing", I think. She re-enacted the opera every day at home and LOVES the music.
The big bad wolf was her buddy, Cole...

Who, if you ask Paige, is the young man she has placed dibs on for her future husband. Isn't it fun to be 4? I guess she's better off than I was. I wanted to marry Spiderman! Each kiddo was given their choice of what "type" of piggy to be. Some were ball players, cowboys, doctors, etc. Paige wanted to be a ballerina pig! No big surprise. The little boy in the red shirt was not very excited about his pink painted nose. He had it covered, or was trying to rub it off during the ENTIRE show! Paige and her best friend, Natalie...they get mistaken for sisters quite often! I must admit...I held back tears a few times. Silly, huh? I am just overwhelmed with the realization that she is growing up so fast. In just a few short weeks this chapter in her journey will be complete and we move one step closer to Kindergarten. YIKES!! I wish these special people were going with her...I am trying to think of a very special way to express our thankfulness and love to these three ladies...Paige's classroom teachers. It has been an incredible year for her and I can't seem to find a good way to express that to them. Any ideas? They have loved her, taught her, encouraged her and truly given her a great start to her educational and social future!
It is almost 11:00 at night and our Ballerina Piggy fell asleep no more than 15 minutes ago! She had been looking forward to this night for so long and I think she was WAY over stimulated by it all! I head that direction shortly beaming with pride for my little piggy and so thankful for the opportunities she is blessed to have!
