So today is my first day back from Spring Break. Normally, we would just be returning from Myrtle Beach with glowing tans and gleaming faces to prove it. (Not entirely true...I am the only member of my family capable of a suntan, but we would all be gleaming!) This year was not quite so eventful. We stayed home! Don't get me wrong, sometimes there is nothing better than down time at home. We were busy...lots of house jobs and spring cleaning to be done! Although I am sad we were not able to spend time with family at the beach this year, we enjoyed our simple days at home. I have grown to accept that I am a simple person by nature. I live in a simple house, wear simple clothes, live a pretty simple life, have simple dreams. I'm' not sure you understand...we don't have cable, we still have dial-up Internet service, my husband doesn't have a cell phone...very simple life! That is OK with me. If life is what we know it living this simply, I am content to not trade it in for something more complex. With simplicity comes a true respect for most things in life! I am soaking up all the time spent walking now that we have great weather! What a great time to spend with family. Paige loves to walk to the "movie store" in town, so that becomes a family event once or twice a week. Watching the kids ride in Paige's Barbie Jeep and hearing their squeals of joy! Simple things, yet so refreshing!!!
As I walk away from a great week of "vacation" with my kids, I am not willing to accept this daily routine as my reality. I will accept it as my task for now, but count each and every minute until I walk in the door and become totally immersed in my actual reality at home!!!....

And what an AMAZING reality I've been given!

Love that simplicity and appreciate any reminders that the "stuff" can clutter one's mind...one's life. If we lived on an island with just those we loved...no jobs, no "stuff"...wouldn't we all just be deliciously happy? Thank you! Those babies are precious!
