Here's to a clean bill of health!

We arrived back home in New York on Monday morning, greeted by too much snow (pretty much any snow outside of Christmas morning is too much for me) and more illness! Let me catch you up on our "bill of health" the past few weeks. Nathan started mid-November with an ear infection. That lead to pink eye the following week. The Monday prior to our trip it was croup, three days later another ear infection. Friday morning (12/21)as we were loading the car to drive to the airport, I realized Paige's eye was pink. Thank goodness I had packed the drops...just in case! Nathan started round 2 of pink eye on Saturday. So, we were in Myrtle Beach, but could not see the extended family for fear of passing the dreaded disease. We seemed to be clear by Christmas Eve, but quickly realized both kids had caught a cold. At the airport to return home on 12/31 we realized Paige had pink eye AGAIN!!! My hope of warm weather "cleaning house" didn't prove realistic!
Despite the drops, medication and lack of sleep, we all had a GREAT time with family in Myrtle Beach. The weather was great! I guess anything would have been better than this white stuff and freezing temperatures. Paige quickly got used to not wearing a coat. Here are a few highlights...Mike golfed 4-5 times (obviously HIS highlight, not mine), LOTS of seafood and great restaurants, MANY hours spent with Mom and Dad and Damon and Lisa and kids, flying the kite on the beach, SHOPPING, worshipping as a family on Christmas Eve, sharing meals as a family at Damon and Lisa's new house, listening to the kids scream with delight as they played in the ball pit, watching Paige and Emma share princess outfits, Watching Nate and Jack check each other out and trying to envision them in 10 years...YIKES! It was very difficult to pack up and come home. It was relaxing, refreshing, peaceful and crazy all together. I will have pictures to show eventually.
I am adding some "old" pictures. Paige sang at church early December with the 3, 4 & 5 year old Sunday School classes. PRICELESS!!! She loves to sing and was not at all shy when they put her front and center on stage!


These are moments that are never forgotten as a mom!
